Rachel Rose Nelson Steps Down
This has been an incredible time of growth for the Alliance and for me as a leader, which has made the decision to step down very difficult, but we have built a solid foundation and I am truly excited to see the next leader use it as a launching pad to propel the Freedom Business movement forward.”
After three years as Executive Director of Freedom Business Alliance, Rachel Rose Nelson is stepping down.
In her own words: “I have discerned my season at the helm has come to a close. This has been an incredible time of growth for the Alliance and for me as a leader, which has made the decision to step down very difficult, but we have built a solid foundation and I am truly excited to see the next leader use it as a launching pad to propel the Freedom Business movement forward.”
Rachel has been instrumental in establishing FBA’s mission, vision, values and strategic priorities as the organization stepped into an expanded role of industry facilitator for Freedom Business. She envisioned and provided oversight for the first two editions of Freedom Business Magazine, the launch of an eCommerce sales platform, the establishment of the Freedom Business Code of Excellence, and a regional development playbook. She credits her team with much wisdom and hard work in these areas and looks forward to seeing how they continue to grow and expand the work in the months and years to come.
“While the Board of Directors will miss her as the Executive Director we are delighted she has accepted the role of Global Ambassador for FBA, and will serve on our Advisory Board,” says Larry Sharp, Chairperson of the FBA Board of Directors.
The search for Rachel’s successor is already underway, and the Board of Directors has selected Karen Schmidt, current Director of Communications, as Interim Director.
