Earlier this year, we shared with our members the Board’s decision to hire Adisyn Pyles as Interim CEO of Freedom Business Alliance. Since then, we’ve hosted our Global Forum in Bali, aligned around important strategic decisions, and commenced the second phase of our WellWork initiative to help mainstream employers hire survivors. Today, I’m delighted to share with our entire community that our Board has officially appointed Adisyn as CEO, and we look forward to the leadership and vision she will bring as we enter this next chapter.
Adisyn brings over 14 years of experience in the nonprofit and freedom business sectors. As founder and former CEO of Red Oak Hope, she helped launch and lead programs to serve more than 600 survivors of human trafficking across nine countries. She also co-founded Freeleaf, a social enterprise that provided employment and holistic care to over 50 women overcoming exploitation in Asia. Her expertise spans strategic planning, financial leadership, communications, and program development, and her passion for the freedom business movement is deeply personal.
In her own words, “I’m honored to step into this role because of my relentless belief in freedom, hope, and restoration— both for survivors of trafficking and for leaders. I’ve seen firsthand how business and economic opportunity can break cycles of exploitation, and I’ve experienced the power of collaboration to strengthen this movement. I’m excited to lead FBA into this next season, and TOGETHER, I believe we can expand the Freedom Business movement and create opportunities for even more survivors to thrive.
Over the coming weeks, one of Adisyn’s highest priorities will be reconnecting with the people who make this movement possible—our members, donors, and partners. You’ll be hearing from her soon as she shares more about where FBA is headed and the impact we’re building together.
